about Me

Welcome to my kitchen! My name is Fatima, also known as Faye to basically just the internet. I am a former professional pastry cook, food blogger, recipe developer, food photographer. I’m from the great state of Michigan. I have loved food ever since I can remember. My mom always teases me and says, “I eat to live, but you live to eat.” I can’t say she’s wrong…

I started Faye's Food after I had to leave the culinary industry professionally due to health issues. I wanted a way to stay connected to food and to be able to share what I've learned along the way. That's how the blog was born.

This blog began with my desire to continue sharing the food I made without being in the culinary industry anymore.

What kind of recipes will you find on Faye's Food?

  • Fresh recipes: Most of my recipes utilize fresh ingredients because that's what I prefer.
  • For everyone: Recipes cater to all tastes, even if you’re not Lebanese.
  • Tested and Approved: All my recipes are developed by me and tested multiple times until I feel confident it'll work for you.


  • I’m passionate about leveling up and making Lebanese cooking and baking, easy and accessible.
  • I work hard to develop and share recipes that are straightforward, delicious and proven to work.
  • Most of my Lebanese recipes are authentic, but some have a twist to modernize it or make it easier to make.

  • I work as a financial analyst full-time but hope to turn this blog full-time.
  • I am a mom of a one year old going on 20.
  • I've only been to Lebanon once 20 years ago. I'd love to go again soon.
  • Food dislikes include: tomato, avocado and corn.
  • I'm a huge Michigan football and basketball fan.
